内容简介
Book DescriptionThough he admits to being influenced by Ford Madox Ford, William Carlos Williams and Jerome K.Jerorn, Brown Craig Brown has managed to attract his own growing band of small admirers. Increasing considered to be one of the most insensitive novelists of his generation, he narrowly missed inclusion in the Book Marketing Council’s 17 Lightweight Novelists of Out Time promotion. When Sir Harvey Marlowe approached him to edit “The Marsh Marlowe Letters”, he had recently completed his third novel, “No Crosses Count”, which was later described as “promising”. He is currently working on a serious and very long book about a little-known murderer. His hobbies include shyness and insecurity.About AuthorHailed as a “master parodist,” a “satiric genius,” and “the wittest writer in Britain today,” Craig Brown was born in 1957 and lives with his family in the English countryside. In addition to The Marsh Marlowe Letters, which were originally published in Great Britain in 1984, his books include:A Year Inside(1988), a collection of parliamentary sketches; Columns: Collected Diaries of the Famous (1992); The Hounding of John Thomas (1994), a novel; The Private Eye Book of Craig Brown Parodies (1995); and, in collaboration with William Donaldson, The Naff Guide to Britain (1997)
